The production entitled “New frontiers of imaging the human body” was jointly developed by EuroNews and the European Commission in an effort to promote news of the EC funded biomedical developments across the world. It was aired 22 times starting at the end of June on the award-winning Futuris programme which focuses on European science and research. A special broadcast was scheduled for the 25th September on World Heart Day when it was broadcast to 130 countries in EuroNews´ eight broadcasting languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, Portuguese and Arabic). Subsequently the report was also translated and broadcasted in Turkish, Japanese and Chinese for different public television networks in Turkey, Japan and China.
